Līdzīgās domās ir arī Rīgas domes Sociālo jautājumu komitejas priekšsēdētājs Juris Radzēvičs:

Atklāšanas pasākumā klāt bija arī Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes prorektors Guntis Bahs un studējošo pašpārvaldes vadītāja, topošā ārste, Luīze Monta Remese, apliecinot gatavību iesaistīties projekta īstenošanā – palīdzot piesaistīt brīvprātīgos ar nepieciešamo kvalifikāciju medicīnā.
Pieteikt sapni var pats cilvēks vai viņa tuvinieks, sazinoties ar projekta vadītāju. Piesakoties, būs īsi jāapraksta sapnis, kā arī jānorāda informācija par cilvēka veselības stāvokli u.c. brauciena plānošanai un drošai norisei.
Projekts ir pilnībā finansēts no ziedojumiem, un pirmais projekta ziedotājs bija Vācijas Samariešu apvienība, ziedojot vienu no saviem Wunschewagen jeb speciāli aprīkotajiem auto, kas nu ir tapis par Sapņu pavadoni.
Sapņu pavadonis tika svinīgi atklāts, saņemot auto atslēgas no Vācijas Samariešu apvienības pārstāvja Gerda Prufera (Gerd Prufer): “Kad piedalos sapņu braucienos Hambugā, tad ikreiz pie sevis saku paldies Nīderlandes kolēģiem, kas bija pirmie Eiropā, īstenojot šādu labdarības iniciatīvu. Esmu redzējis ļoti daudz smaidus un pateicīgas acis un novēlu arī jums Latvijā – lai katrs brauciens iedvesmo arvien vairāk cilvēku palīdzēt radīt priecīgākas mūža nogales pēs iespējas vairāk līdzcilvēkiem.”
